5. 7:01s – Dodge Viper ACR

Back in 2010, they scored a 7:12s mark. Thus, people hoped they’d crack the seven-minute mark. They didn’t perform worse—they just didn’t exceed the expectation. They were so close to hitting the six-minute mark, it only they could’ve sped up by two seconds. However, Dodge Viper ACR packs an 8.4 litre V10 producing 645bhp, also, 813Nm of torque.

4. 6:57s – Porsche 918 Spyder

Benefitting their Porsche’s Weissach Package, they scored a 6:57s mark in the Nurburgring lap. As an all-wheel-drive machine, powered with a combined 875bhp, 994lb ft of torque from its petrol-electric powertrain, Porsche 918 Spyder blitzed the ‘Ring until Lamborghini Huracan Performante came along.

3. 6:52s – Lamborghini Huracan Performante

This is the car which successfully kicked Porsche 918 Spyder from the ‘Big Three’ fastest lap times in the Nurburgring. Lamborghini Huracan Performante achieving the ‘Big Three’ is not a coincidence. It was piloted by Marco Mapelli, the test driver who rocked the 5.2 litre V10 beast.

2. 6:47s – Porsche 911 GT2 RS

Definitely isn’t a sweet talker, Porsche claimed to target a lap time around 7:05 second-ish when the 911 GT2 RS first came out, they blew people’s expectation by hitting the 6:47s mark, knocking Lamborghini Huracan Performante by 0:5s also by Porsche’s test driver: Lars Kern.

Seeing the performance of their Huracan, it does not need to take Lamborghini look to reclaim their title as the ‘fastest lap times of the Nurburgring as a production car. Faster than the Porsche 911 GT2 RS by three seconds, this was possible with the 760bph 6.5 litre V12 Lambo version.
