Hyundai is a popular brand originating from South Korea. In 2015, Hyundai introduced 3 new variants such as i20 Cross, ix25 and Tucson. All of these variants enter the SUV line up. The three new Hyundai models were first introduced at the Auto China Exhibition.
Hyundai Models Tucson
This car dominates sellers of all the Hyundai series. A good navigation system, comfortable handling, and premium quality cabin make Tucson rank 1 in the compact SUV class. The engine consists of 2 variants, 2.0L 4-cylinders with 164 HP output and 2.4L 4-cylinders with 182 HP output. Both trims use a 6-speed automatic transmission.
This crossover is capable of carrying up to 5 adult passengers. Unfortunately, in the second-row cabin conditions are narrower due to the low sloping roof. Tucson is 14.4 feet long. The size of the cargo is 25.7 cubic feet and is quite narrow in the SUV class. For wider luggage, you can fold the second-row seats in a ratio of 60/40. You will get 55.8 cubic feet. The fuel ratio is 23/29 for city trips and highway.
Hyundai i20 Cross
The i20 Cross series is totally redesigned from the previous generation. This car features premium cabin material, user-friendly technology, and reliable engine performance. The engine used is 2.0L 4-cylinder with 185 HP output. The engine uses a front-wheel-drive with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Passengers will feel comfortable when using this Hyundai model because of the spacious cabin and legroom. The car can carry 5 people with seats wrapped in leather. Available features include an 8-inch display, Blue-link, radio, USB port and Bluetooth.
Other safety and comfort aspects of this car are the rear camera, parking sensors, cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring. You can also bring children under 5 years because the seats support LATCH and child-lock.
Besides being roomy and user-friendly, the Hyundai ix25 also has a very good level of safety. Only one trim level is used which is a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine and the output reaches 130 horsepower. In a variety of situations, ix25 is able to accelerate very well. There are two transmission types, namely 6-speed manual, and 6-speed automatic.
This sedan has a roomy interior with two new seats for 5 passengers. All seats and cabins are wrapped in leather upholstery. Both the front and back rooms, adults will still feel comfortable for a long trip. The infotainment features include a 5-inch display, smartphone integration system and Blue-Link.
Additional features of this car are the rearview camera, collision warning, and automatic braking emergency. The advantage of the ix25 series is its ability to save fuel. The manual transmission trim has a ratio of 28/37 mpg while the automatic transmission is 28/38 mpg.
Various reviews predict that Hyundai sales will increase significantly in 2015. Especially the Hyundai models Tucson and ix25 which were very popular in the previous generation. In the subcompact SUV class, these 3 series will compete with the Ford Ecosport in the market because of the more affordable selling price.
